T1 have announced on July 15 that they have parted ways with head coach Yang "Daeny" Dae-in and assistant coach Lee "Zefa" Jae-min. The team has not officially designated replacements for the departing coaches, ahead of their clash against KT Rolster later that day.

The team has announced its decision during T1's ongoing summer split campaign, possibly disrupting the roster further. With a 5-5 record, T1 are in danger of sliding out of playoff and Worlds contention should Hanwha Life Esports and KT Rolster (both at 4-6) surge past them. Such an event would be T1's worst finish in League of Legends since 2013.
T1 signed Daeny and Zefa, fresh out of their 2020 World Championship victory with DAMWON Gaming (now DWG KIA). Before the season started, the organization had allegedly approached commentator and coach Nick "LS" De Cesare to coach the squad, before signing him as a content creator.
Since Daeny and Zefa's arrival to T1, the squad struggled to perform. Initially, they were unable to field a stable roster, often switching players during the spring split. After securing the fourth seed, T1 eventually fell to Gen.G 3-0 in the spring split semifinals.
