T1 has an extremely stacked team, with players like Doran, Oner, and Faker being the stand-outs. Without a doubt, the player to see the most improvement compared to the LCK 2025 Cup is Chovy, the team’s mid-laner. Playing Azir and Ahri in such a good way that he shut down HLE’s Zeke in both games is a feat in and of itself. Compare that with the fact that Canyon showcased arguably some of the best jungling fans have seen in some time, and this Gen.G squad could potentially decimate T1.

Fortunately, there are some champion picks that fans can safely assume to see based on previous recent matches. For T1, those picks include Rumble, Jayce, Xin Zhao, Viktor, Kaisa, and Poppy. It wouldn’t be farfetched to assume that T1 may opt to switch Poppy for a more tanky support like Alistar against Gen.G.
Speaking of Gen.G, the champions fans can expect from the team include K’Sante, Nidalee, Sylas, Galio, Varus, Ezreal, and Leona. Rell and Rakan are also two fairly common picks from the team’s support player, Duro.
T1 and Gen.G have faced off on the big stage a total of 38 times. Out of that, both teams have won 19 times, which means the upcoming match will be the tie-breaker that determines which team reaches 20 wins against the other first.
Gen.G is the favorite to win the match against T1 with a line of 1.48. T1’s odds of 2.60 cements it as the underdog, likely because Gen.G showcased much improvement against Hanwa Life Esports in its last match while T1 has had an uneven year to date.

Canyon’s performance against HLE was arguably perfect, as the player captured multiple objectives and pulled off successful ganks without dying a single time. Although T1’s Oner is an excellent jungler in his own right, his recent performance doesn’t suggest he has what it takes to lead his team to victory here. There’s also the fact that T1 is in a weird space right now with its controversial decision to bench Gumayusi in the LCK and the drama involving the departure of Zeus. All this combined may mean Gen.G will be the team to win, potentially making it the smarter betting pick.
