While Dplus barely made the cut by being the second team to advance through the play-in, it’ll now face reigning world champion T1 in the first match of the tournament.

The team’s early game continues to be strong, usually ensuring its players often secure first blood and get a decent lead in the laning phase, but that’s where things sometimes fall off.
Oner used to be the most consistent T1 player, but the jungler has been making uncharacteristic decisions of late. By contrast, Dplus showcased great confidence in its recent LCK play-in matches, comfortably winning against NS RedForce and BRION while having better macro and map awareness.
T1 still has a good chance of winning, as while Dplus may be able to find some advantageous team fights and this could win the team one or two maps, T1 will likely emerge victorious thanks to its better mechanical skills and stronger mid and bottom lanes. T1 arguably has the best early game out of any professional LoL team in Korea, which is why it’s always safe to bet on the squad getting first blood. While Gumayusi and Keria will likely do well in the bottom lane, alongside Faker getting a gold advantage in the middle lane, Oner’s jungling and Doran’s top laning may leave some room for Dplus to make inroads.
