With more than 300 Vegas-style games up-for-grabs, it’s easy to see why RealPrize is one of the hottest sweepstakes casinos in the US right now. But is the platform legally available in your state?
In today’s guide, I’ll be unpacking what states RealPrize is legal in right now, and what US sweepstakes rules have to say about this up-and-coming, virtual-coin-powered gaming site. I’ll start out with a bit of info about the site itself, and its background, then give you a state-by-state breakdown of what’s what – and what’s not.
For those of you not already in the know, RealPrize USA is one of America’s most popular “social” or “sweepstakes” casino sites – a Vegas-influenced gaming platform that offers slots and table games fueled by virtual online tokens instead of cash.
In my recent RealPrize review, I revealed how the US-based site operates out of Kent, Delaware, and is currently legally available in an impressive 46 different US states.
Why is that the case? Well, there are a few different reasons why RealPrize is legal for US players in most regions. Most notably:
RealPrize is legit in other ways, too. The site carries out water-tight ID verification checks on players, and strictly prohibits minors – or gamers based in off-limits states – from playing. The brand’s website is SSL-encrypted, too, and takes responsible social gaming incredibly seriously.
If you’re not 100% sure how the site works, I’ll get into how to use RealPrize in the US in a bit.
First, allow me to spell-out in plain English what states you can play at RealPrize in, and which US regions are sadly off-limits at the time of writing. Here’s what you guys need to know…
As I said above, there are 46 different US states where RealPrize is allowed in the US at the time of writing. With that in mind, it’s probably going to be easier (and quicker) for me to list the blacklisted regions here rather than the places where RealPrize is deemed a-okay…
So, here goes. As of now, RealPrize.com is strictly prohibited in:
Banned US state | Why the site is blocked there |
---|---|
Idaho | While, for the most part, RealPrize is legal in the US, Idaho is sadly the first US state listed as off-limits on the site’s “Terms of Use” page. There’s no explanation as to why right now, but I’ll certainly let you guys know ASAP if ever a RealPrize Idaho site launches in the near future. So, watch this space… |
Michigan | In the Great Lake State, sweepstakes casinos are generally permitted so long as game prizes are awarded based on chance. That said, you can’t currently play at RealPrize in Michigan – it’s the second US state currently on the site’s no-go list, I’m afraid. Sorry, Michiganders… |
Nevada | As the home of the bright lights of Las Vegas, we tend to think of Nevada as the go-to place for gaming in the US, right? Well unfortunately, in Nevada, RealPrize is prohibited right now. Though if you check the banners on my site, you might be able to find other sweepstakes casinos that are available in NV. |
Washington | Is RealPrize’s Washington website live yet? Nope, afraid not – and that would be because the state of WA actually prohibits sweepstakes casinos altogether at the time of writing. Again, should this ever change, I’ll be the first to let you guys know. |
So, RealPrize is legal for US players in as many as 46 different US states right now – but how can you guys go about actually registering an account and playing here?
Well, it’s really quite simple – you just need to:
Step 1 | Visit RealPrize from any US state bar the four mentioned above, then hit the big, green “Play Now” button. |
---|---|
Step 2 | Register via Google or Facebook, or simply enter your name, email address and a strong password to get started. |
Step 3 | After familiarizing yourself with what states you can play at RealPrize in, tick the T&Cs boxes to accept the operator’s Terms of Use. |
Step 4 | Next, you’ll receive an authentication code via email. Verify your account with RealPrize’s United States-based team by cutting-and-pasting said code into the box on-screen. |
Step 5 | Click through to finalize the registration process. Depending on your region, you should be awarded a 100,000 Gold Coins (GC) and 2 free Sweeps Coins (SC) bonus. |
Once you’re in, getting your head around how to play at RealPrize in the US is a cinch. The two-tier coin system is dead straightforward – “GC” are just-for-fun coins that are played for entertainment purposes only.
Conversely, “SC” can be entered into sweepstakes games and tournaments, and have an online RealPrize redemption value.
To cut a long story short, once you’ve collected 45 SC or more, you can redeem your SC for real-life gift cards. Collect 100 SC or more, and you can even exchange your SC for actual cash prizes – though state-by-state T&Cs apply. It’s also worth noting that before your first SC redemption, you’ll need to prove your identity by uploading a photo of your US state ID and play through each SC at least once.
I receive a lot of queries from players from all over the US, based anywhere from LA and ‘Frisco to the Empire State, on what the deal is with RealPrize in their state. So, allow me to set the record straight. Here’s some more all-important, state-by-state info…
As we’ve already seen, RealPrize is legal for US players in all bar four states – the only no-go regions at the time of writing being ID, NV, MI and WA.
So, it goes without saying that yes – if you live in California, you can play here. Just so long as you meet RealPrize’s minimum age requirements (hint: you’ll need to be 18+).
Yup, Texans are good to go, too. So, if you reside in the Lone Star State, you can enjoy playing GC and SC coins on slots and table games with RealPrize. Check out my guide to the best jackpot slots on RealPrize for my thoughts on which titles are best to play. Top tip: slots offering a high Return to Player (RTP) are always a good shout.
RealPrize runs on the same website regardless of which US state you visit from – though I have found that geo-tracking tools are used to check you’re not trying to access the site from an off-limits region, or using a VPN. Fortunately, Sunshine State residents are all good to register and play here.
Yes – whether you’re keen to bag a 100,000 GC and 2 SC sign-up bonus, or hoping to play for the long-haul and become a RealPrize VIP, the site is fully operational and accessible in PA. Yet more good news, then.
It is indeed – and NC-based players can currently qualify for randomized free GC and/or SC reloads here daily. Simply log in at least once a day to automatically unlock your bonus; which I’m happy to say is up-for-grabs in most other RealPrize-friendly US states, too.
Yup – from Chicago to Springfield, Illinoisians can enjoy such slots titles as *Chili Mariachi* and *TNT Bonanza 2* at RealPrize, among hundreds more.
Yet again, as OH isn’t listed among RealPrize’s “Restricted States” right now, yes – RealPrize is legal in Ohio, and you guys can play here all you like. Just don’t have too much fun, yeah?
Yes – RealPrize is 100% available in GA, and I’m very happy to say that you guys can enjoy all the same daily bonuses and incredible games as players based in other green-lit states.
Regardless of which RealPrize-friendly US state you reside in, RealPrize is a blast. Of course, no social casino is ever 100% perfect, but the way I see it, RealPrize’s pros far outweigh its cons. These are:
As we’ve seen, for the most part, RealPrize is good to go in the US – with only four states deemed off-limits at the time of writing. Those are WA, ID, NV and MI, in case you needed reminding.
Take a look around and you’ll soon see that there are few sweepstakes casinos out there that are so widely available across the US – and even fewer that offer as many great features as RealPrize.
If you’re thinking of registering with the site today, be sure to double-check your state makes the green list first – something you can achieve with a quick glance at RealPrize’s “Terms of Use” page. And while you’re at it, don’t forget that by following the steps I outlined above, you can currently unlock a 100,000 GC and 2 SC bonus.
Yes – this US-based sweepstakes brand is currently available in 46 different US states. It also runs on an SSL-encrypted website and offers extensive responsible social gameplay tools.
You can indeed, as right now, only WA, NV, ID, and MI are listed as “Restricted States” in the brand’s small print.
RealPrize’s website is the same regardless of which US state you visit it from – though would-be gamers living in WA, ID, NV, or MI sadly can’t access the site at all right now. The good news? If you live in NY, you can play here all you like.
