With summer Ibuki-Douji releasing only three days ago, another meta-shaker is ready to fight for the spotlight as Skadi looks to bring quick servants into their second renaissance.
For players keeping up with the Arctic Summer World event, this week marks the completion of the story and opening of the highest-tier farming nodes. The threat of an endless summer that would eventually cause the destruction of humanity has been avoided, and summer Skadi, the creator of the event, has finally taken a moment to rest. With that rest comes a summoning banner and a big upgrade for any quick team’s arsenal, plus a solid option for dealing massive critical buster damage.
Here are details on summer Skadi’s release date, abilities, and place in the meta.

The release date for summer Skadi and the third and final banner of the Arctic Summer World is 12 am EST on July 25, 2024.
With it, a new 5-star ruler-class support in summer Skadi. Skadi brings buffs aplenty while also being able to do respectable damage with her own Noble Phantasm. Her ruler class gives her good defense against the most common enemy classes so she can stay on the field longer.
Summer Skadi’s skills help her slot into quick teams to loop, while also providing support for buster crit teams.
Summer Skadi provides much-needed help to the quick meta, so a team with Oberon and quick servants is ideal.
Ruler-class Skadi works well in a team with her caster-class counterpart, Oberon, and whichever Quick AoE servant is available. This team composition allows the damage-dealer to use the craft essence Black Grail, buffing their Noble Phantasm damage considerably. For her buster crit niche, summer Skadi synergizes with supports like Merlin or Chen Gong, stacking their buffs onto someone like Super Orion.
Summer 7’s banners have been filled with heavy hitters, so players have tough choices for who to roll for. Those with access to quick AoE servants or need a meta support should definitely look into rolling for summer Skadi.
