Jason “Jasontheween” Nguyen has set a new Twitch record and is now one of the top five most subscribed streamers on the platform.
FaZe Clan is currently holding a September subathon with big names like Rani “Stable Ronaldo” Netz, Maxwell “Plaqueboymax” Dent, and more going live to gather subscribers. However, all eyes are on Jasontheween, FaZe’s newest member, who was signed during the April rebuild. The organization is now closing out its fourth and final subathon week, and Jasontheween has already set a new record. On September 20, Jasontheween hit 40,000 subscribers, and merely seven days later, he almost doubled the count to become the most subscribed Asian Twitch streamer of all time.
Jasontheween currently has 77,500 subscribers, which is expected to increase even more by September 30.
The most subscribed Asian streamer in Twitch history is Jasontheween, who took the crown in September 2024 with 77,500 subs.
The streamer cracked the top 5 on September 28 and is poised to overtake Caseoh’s number 4 spot, who currently boasts 78,000 Twitch subscribers. That makes him the first Asian streamer to achieve this feat in such a short time.
He’s among Twitch’s fastest-growing streamers. Prior to joining FAZE, his average peak viewership hovered around 10-20,000. However, his recent streams have surged, peaking at 25,000 viewers and occasionally even surpassing 30,000. This ongoing Subathon is only expected to propel his channel into Twitch’s big leagues.
Jasontheween’s Subathon took an unsettling turn when he was attacked on stream by a stranger, coinciding with his rise to the top five most subscribed Twitch streamers.
During an outdoor date night, Jasontheween was unexpectedly confronted by a stranger. The man accused Jasontheween of “quoting his thoughts” after walking by him. Despite Jasontheween’s confusion and protests that he was the wrong person, the stranger became aggressive, grabbing a nearby pumpkin and allegedly assaulting him.
The streamer later posted a picture on X, captioning it “Fought my first crackhead.” The picture is proof that while the attack looked dangerous, the streamer is safe and sound.
