As reported at the end of July by dust2.us, EG.CD has signed veteran North American Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz to the team.
Replacing Anthony “CLASIA” Kearney on the team he joined just two months ago, this marks stanislaw’s second stint under the Evil Geniuses banner, with the first coming to a close in November 2021.
The Canadian is one of the most successful IGLs in NA history, having risen to prominence after winning ELEAGUE Season 2 with OpTic. He also achieved second-placed finishes with Team Liquid, as well as multiple Tier 1 victories with EG, including ESL One: New York 2019.
It’s unclear whether he will be the IGL of EG.CD, as current IGL Colby “Walco” Walsh is still on the books.
Completing the roster for ESL Challenger League is William “RUSH” Wierzba. The former Major winner with Cloud9 joined EG from Complexity at the beginning of the year as part of a revamp to their main roster alongside Jake “stewie2k” Yip and Timothy “autimatic” Ta.
That EG team was unsuccessful, however, and he and Stewie were both benched at the beginning of July. He replaces Jadan “HexT” Postma on the roster, who was promoted to the main team in RUSH’s place.
