South America Rejects, the former stack of paiN Gaming, has defeated Nigma Galaxy in the Grand Finals of DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 to secure the $15,000 winners prize and a ticket to DreamLeague Season 29.
The South American team beat Nigma in a 3-0 best-of-five series to lock in their spot and complete a lower-bracket run that saw them bypass teams that had humbled them in the Group Stage and Playoff bracket. Here’s how it went down.
South America Rejects made headlines earlier this month for playing two tournaments simultaneously, PGL Wallachia Season 8, and DreamLeague D2 S4. The SA squad managed to shock the world by making it to the final eight of PGL Wallachia, while also reaching the playoffs of D2.
However, their opponents, Nigma Galaxy, were on rare form, having not lost a single game up to this finals.

On the day, it seems like South America Rejects completely had Nigma’s number, stomping them in two quick matches, then carrying on to a near hour long slog with one of the most unorthodox drafts we’ve seen in recent memory.
That final 50-minute match saw a Doom carry, a support Skywrath Mage, and no traditional carry hero. Instead, the team let Gonzalo “DarkMago” Herrera pop off on Kunkka . The draft’s idea was fairly simple, to make sure Nigma couldn’t escape. With so much lockdown, and Kunkka as the anchor (pardon the pun), there was no stopping SAR.
With the win SAR takes home $15,000 and a direct invite to DreamLeague Season 29. Meanwhile second place Nigma pocket $10,000 and also an invite to DreamLeague, which is set to take place from May 13 until May 24 with a million dollars on the line.
