Team Vitality are aiming to sign X7 Esports’ jungler, Kang “Haru” Min-seung for the 2022 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) summer season, according to sources close to Jaxon.
If the deal goes through, the 2017 World Champion would be making his way to the LEC after spending one split in the European Regional League (ERL) circuit. During his time at X7, his overall individual performance level throughout the split was top-notch.
Haru could bring much relief to the struggling Team Vitality, who are looking to fix their gameplay issues. As he would take over Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek’s spot, the jungler’s main mission would be to help them secure their first-ever LEC title.
Vitality failed to meet expectations during the 2022 LEC Spring split despite their star-studded roster, and changes were needed to contend for a Worlds spot down the line. Vitality’s current jungler, Selfmade, is reportedly set to be benched despite his ongoing long-term contract with the organization.
The former Samsung Galaxy substitute jungler joined X7 Esports for the 2022 spring split, and his contributions towards X7’s NLC title run were crucial.
X7 won after a heated battle with Bifrost throughout the entire split, then qualified for the Knockout stage of the European Masters. Eventually, the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the competition by EU Masters finalists and LFL champions LDLC OL.
