The playoffs of the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025 are nearing their conclusion, with the top four teams remaining. The two best teams from the tournament will secure a spot in VCT Pacific for the 2026 season. In the upper bracket finals, SLT Seongnam convincingly defeated Boom Esports with a score of 3-0, thereby securing their spot in VCT Pacific. SLT Seongnam Are The First Team To Qualify From VCT Ascension Pacific 2025

SLT VCT Ascension Pacific

VCT Ascension Pacific 2025 consisted of the group stage and the playoffs phase. The top 2 teams from each group would secure their spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs. The teams in the upper bracket needed to win two games to secure their place in VCT Pacific for the 2026 season. Boom Esports defeated Velocity Gaming in a dominant 2-0 win. At the same time, NAOS lost to SLT Seongnam in a clean sweep 2-0 victory.

The last time these two teams faced off, SLT Seongnam had defeated Boom Esports 2-0. The rematch between these two teams would be a best-of-5 series. Map 1 was played on the Haven map. SLT Seongnam started the match strong on defence, leading 9-3 at the first-half break. They continued this run of dominance on the attack and secured the win with a score of 13-4.

In the second map, Corrode, SLT once again took a commanding lead, finishing the first half 9-3. Though Boom Esports attempted a comeback while on the attack, they fell short, leading to a final score of 13-9 in favor of SLT Seongnam. The third map was Abyss. Going into this match, Zexy from SLT Seongnam had already accumulated 46 kills.

SLT Seongnam started map three strong, leading 10-2. Although Boom Esports managed to narrow the gap to 11-9, SLT Seongnam ultimately secured the win with a score of 13-9.

SLT VCT Ascension Pacific

Following the game, players from SLT Seongnam took the stage to share their thoughts on the match against Boom Esports and securing a spot at VCT Pacific. When asked, Ko “C1ndeR” Jae-hyuk said the following:

As we played during VCT Ascension 2025, we plan to maintain the same aggressive VALORANT style during VCT Pacific. The goal is to beat every single team in VCT Pacific. With this victory, the South Korean team became the first to qualify for VCT Pacific 2026. Notably, SLT went undefeated during the VCT Ascension 2025 tournament, a significant achievement attributed to the team’s synergy and strategic use of abilities. The lower bracket finals will now feature Boom Esports against Nongshim Redforce. Last year, both teams reached the grand finals of VCT Ascension Pacific 2025, but this year, only one of them will secure a place in VCT Pacific 2026.
