shox reportedly set to leave Team Liquid

Richard “shox” Papillon has asked to be removed from Team Liquid’s starting CSGO lineup, According to a report from Dot Esports. the French rifler is said to have made his request following a disappointing run at the PGL Antwerp Major.

The news comes as quite a surprise, as shox only joined Liquid at the start of the year. But a brutal travel schedule, as the team competes in North America while shox’ family is based in France, seems to have made him reconsider his decision.

During his short stint with Liquid, shox quickly became a secondary caller for the team.

With shox on the lineup, Liquid managed to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major and even made it to the Legends stage. But after going winless there, and being eliminated by his former team, Vitality, the tournament must have left a sour taste in the organization.

Team Liquid is set to compete at IEM Dallas at the start of June.
