As Sentinels just grabbed their spot in the Esports World Cup, they now go up against LYON in the LCS Spring Split 2026. This time, they’re fighting to stay afloat in the playoffs race, while LYON is trying to catch up to first place. Will the LCS Lock-In champion extend their win streak, or will Sentinels grab their second win?
Betting tip: Sentinels just won the Esports World Cup NA Qualifier, but they haven’t managed to replicate that success on the live stage. LYON, on the other hand, only dropped a single close match against C9 and will likely add SEN to their list of victims.
My Sentinels vs LYON pick: Under 2.5 maps at 1.57 odds at GG.BET.

LYON is the calm and collected team in the LCS. The Lock-in champions avoid unnecessary fights, don’t commit to objectives they shouldn’t, and instead try to commit to the areas of the map they want to play to. LYON will happily give up a drake or two to generate an advantage elsewhere on the map.
LYON’s strongest assets are their bot lane and jungle. The team has a powerhouse of a bot lane and a jungler who almost always finds ways to surprise with his pathing. On the other hand, Kang “Saint” Sung-in has been a weak spot, and Niship “Dhokla” Doshi has struggled with snowballing when given a lead.
That said, the good far outweighs the bad for this team. On top of that, LYON’s macro is above that of every opponent in the LCS. However, they strive in calm games and are weaker against chaos.
And chaos is exactly what Sentinels brings. SEN displays a vastly different level from one match, even one game to the next. According to their coach, they have what it takes to win or lose against any opponent.
In the EWC Qualifier final against FlyQuest, every game turned crazy with fights all around. Additionally, three out of four maps had the gold lead go back and forth. SEN thrives in chaos and it will hurt both teams – they just try to make it hurt the opponent more.

Sentinels will try to win by throwing LYON off their balance. However, this is a weakness that LYON has started working to patch. While where they currently stand on it is uncertain, Sentinels’ shaky fundamentals should allow their opponent to stand their ground.
