A new CS2 bug has surfaced, which provides a new method for the trolls to ruin games with the C4.
Counter-Strike 2 is not short of bugs. In the last 30 days, players have discovered multiple bugs that remain unfixed, including game-breaking problems like rubberbanding and wallhacks. These persistent bugs have significantly impacted the experience of serious players. Now, another streamer has come across a bug that’s a dream come true for trolls in CS2.
This C4 bug locks the bomb in the hand of a dead player. One may wonder how this could possibly break the game, but trolls are already having a field day with this one.
After feeding a certain command into the console, if players get eliminated, the C4 will get glued to their corpse’s hand.
This means teammates can’t pick it up and progress in the round.
Creative trolls love to find new ways to sabotage a game. While they can’t shoot their teammates in-game due to the kick penalty, they can resort to other methods like the new C4 bug. Using this, malicious players can lock the C4 and take away the option as Ts to progress in the round by planting the bomb. Consequently, grinders may lose a game due to not completing the objective within the given time.
If the bug is performed, the Ts can only win the game by eliminating all enemies, which is more difficult when the C4 hasn’t been planted. The simple commands put a lot of power into the hands of malicious players who can easily change the outcome of a round using the C4 bug.
Again, it is an intentional exploit, and using it may get players banned. But considering the number of exploits currently in the game and the lack of bans, it seems unlikely trolls will avoid using it. It remains to be seen if Valve will roll out an instant fix for this or if the C4 bug will also get added to the long list of CS2 bugs.
