Originally believed to be coming in Season 23, leakers now believe that Lifeline will get major changes in Season 22.
Lifeline’s rework coming in Season 22 would also coincide with Respawn Entertainment’s usual pattern where a new legend is added every other season. Since a new legend with the codename Artemis is coming in Season 23, it makes sense for the rework to come in Season 22 since no new legend will be released. Even though we still don’t have an official announcement, all rumors indicate that Lifeline is the next legend that will receive the “reborn” treatment in Apex Legends. An overhaul for the support character has been rumored for quite a while and it seems like it will arrive with the upcoming season.
Here is everything we know about it while we wait for more information
Leaks say that Lifeline will get big changes to her abilities in Apex Legends Season 22 starting on August 6.
Trusted leaker Osvaldo has shared what may be the new abilities for “Lifeline Reborn.” They paint a much more mobile version of the character with a spicy new ultimate.
These are all leaked ability changes, of course. Nobody will know the true Lifeline rework until Respawn Entertainment makes an announcement.
However, these changes would make sense. Right now, the meta is very mobile and teams favor the ability to get to unexpected locations and make aggressive plays. Having D.O.C. able to follow players instead of forcing them to hide in a single spot will make Lifeline much more compatible with the current stronger legends. Her ultimate has also been a bit useless for a while thanks to new legend passives for each class. Giving her more destruction will add a new element to her kit.
