Twitch streamer and vtuber Nyatasha “Nyanners” Nyanners has been banned from Twitch for playing a game that broke the streaming platform’s terms of service.
Vtuber Nyanners has snagged her second Twitch ban in two years after playing an unusual clicker game that broke Twitch’s rules. The vtuber confirmed that the atypical improvised rhythm game they had put together was the reason for the ban, inciting plenty of fan amusement. It also reignites the constant discussion surrounding what is and isn’t allowed on the platform, something many vtubers are already quite familiar with.
Here are the details on Nyanner’s Twitch suspension and a look at the game that got her banned.
To many fans’ amusement, Nyanners was banned from Twitch on October 22, 2024, for playing a game about slapping butts. Nyanners played the free clicker game available on Steam called Amarillo’s Butt Slapper. The game is exactly what it sounds like, featuring a 3D-rendered hind end and legs clothed in fishnet stockings and a bunny tail. Players click the derriere to slap it, triggering a count at the center of the screen.
The vtuber had been using the indie title to McGuyver together a pseudo-rhythm game, listening to music and slapping along with the beat. If there was any doubt that this cheeky game was the reason for the ban, the vtuber confirmed it on Twitter.
Twitch clearly didn’t find it as funny as her viewers, leveling a temporary ban at the vtuber. Nyanners seemed to take the ban in stride, making puns on “rising from the ashes” and generally playing it off as a goofy mistake. Twitch has made no official comment on the ban, but Nyanners appears to have received official explanation linking the ban to the inappropriate clicker game.
If inquiring minds want to try Butt Slapper for themselves, it’s available for free on Steam. Compared to recent streamer bans concerning international policy and events, to many fans on social media, this banning was a hilarious change of pace.
Nyanners’ ban appears to be temporary, and the streamer will be able to return to the streaming platform in the near future.
