Saving NACS: EliGE helps University team

It’s fair to say that NA has struggled quite a bit in the past few years. Since Team Liquid’s mini-era in 2019, not a single North-American roster has managed to break out big. The lower tiers in the region have been devastated by a lack of support, match-fixing scandals, and players jumping to VALORANT.

With this in mind, nurturing the next generation of NA talent should be a priority. This is exactly what Team Liquid’s Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski did yesterday.

One of the greatest talents the region has ever seen, EliGE used his downtime between the RMR and the BLAST Showdown to review a demo on stream.

But rather than choosing a demo from a game he recently played, he opted to review a game from Davenport University.

Davenport is ranked 199th on HLTV’s team ranking at the time of writing but is meant as a place where young talents can develop in a collegiate environment.

Huge shoutout to @EliGE for taking the time to review our match and write down helpful tips and notes for us to use in the future. This is how you grow the scene from within and teach inexperienced players how to play proper Counter Strike. You are truly a homie for doing this 👏🏻 pic.twitter.com/9ybOSNjT2L
