Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov has donned a green Jersey for BLAST Slam IV as the PARIVISION player subs in for Team Falcon’s Oliver “skiter” Lepko who has fractured his elbow. While Satanic was slated to sub in only for yesterday’s (Oct. 14) games, the carry player could see more playing time if Skiter isn’t healed by the start of today’s (Oct. 15) games.
The announcement that Satanic would stand in for Skiter came early on Oct. 14 as Falcons prepared to compete in the Group Stage of BLAST Slam IV. The reason behind Skiter’s injury was not given, but was initially reported as a hand injury in an official statement by BLAST, before being clarified by Skiter on his personal social media.
Despite the stand-in, Falcons ended their first day of competition 3-0, defeating Yakult Bros, BetBoom Team, and Mouz in convincing fashion.
Satanic, who was one of the most prolific carries at TI14, seen as the most consistent player in that position during the tournament, mustered another set of incredible performances. The highlight was perhaps his Terrorblade game against BetBoom Team, where his 747 last hits, and 40k networth eclipsed everyone else in the game.
The player, who celebrated his 18th birthday on Oct. 13, a day before these matches, could potentially bring even more of that play to Falcons during the rest of the tournament. It only remains to see whether Skiter is able to play with his fractured elbow.
BLAST Slam IV continues through until Nov. 9. Following the Group Stage, which runs until Oct. 19, the event will take an almost three-week break, likely to accommodate the qualifiers for BLAST Slam V and other events.
