Riot announce massive Act-Based Tournament system

valorant weapon price changes

Several weeks ago, Riot Games announced some changes coming to the competitive Valorant system. Among those changes was a mode that allowed high-level players to five-stack in a tournament system.

Today, June 21, they took one step further and told the community that the system is in the works. There’s no ETA on it yet, but it’s safe to assume they’re aiming for a release during Act 3 – set to drop on the 22.

Teams who win a tournament in an act will be invited to the End of Act tournament, where they’ll face other top teams. This is the first step in bringing Valorant esports to the masses – outside of the standard ranked laddar.

We are working on a “Act Based Tournament System”

1. If you win one of the tournaments during an act you get an invite to a “End Of Act” big tournament.
2. Team sizes of 5-7, we want you to be able to swap players between matches.

This is all EARLY WIP(NO ETA)!
