The answer is yes, it’s legit. We know this because we took a deep dive into this site, researched the company, and tried out the features. Before we get into the core part of this review, we wanted to give you an overview of this site since there has been some confusion about it. Some people have asked questions about whether this site is a traditional sportsbook.
The answer is no. With a traditional sportsbook, you are up against a house edge, and getting even one pick wrong on a betting slip can nullify the entire slip. PUNTR is different, as the company refers to itself as a skills-based sports challenge site.
So how this works is that you pay entry fees to join the challenges, which includes making sports picks. If you win, you’ll win real cash, with the amount determined by the difficulty level and your personal multiplier.
There are a couple features that set this sports challenge site apart from other sites:
PUNTR doesn’t have a sign up bonus for new users. We were surprised at first, until we did some digging to find out why welcome bonuses aren’t offered, and why that’s a good thing…
PUNTR’s alternative to giving bonuses is to have a “Daily Flex” section on their website where users can make free fantasy sports picks every day with a chance to win a share of a prize pool. This gives new users a free way to try out the site – you don’t pay entry fees, but you still get a chance to win something. Even seasoned users can play the free picks for boasting rights, to get a chance to win something, to learn more about how this specific site works, and to collect XP (experience points) for the loyalty program.
Since you can enter the free Daily Flex every day, the amount of free play you get is bigger than many bonuses that similar sites give you. In addition, if your state prohibits this sort of gaming with entry fees, you can still participate in the free picks each day if you choose.
In addition to providing the Daily Flex in lieu of a welcome bonus, there are other ways to get rewarded. Here are two examples:
How do you boost your personal multiplier? The answer is that you participate in the rewards program. Which brings us to the next point…
The rewards program has five divisions within an unlimited number of levels. As you collect XP (experience points) on the site, you’ll move through the divisions and levels. You can collect XP by being active on the site, including:
This isn’t necessarily an exhaustive list, as PUNTR will likely add other activities that help you collect additional XP.
As you move through the levels, you’ll get these types of rewards:
As mentioned, there is no level limit, so you’ll keep advancing as long as you collect XP points. The only issue we have here is that it’s unclear how many XP you need to move from level to level, but we expect that information will be available soon as they put the finishing touches on the site.
We love being among the first to sign up for a new skill games sports site, as the users who get in first tend to get the best rewards. But on the flip side, you also need to be ready to overlook minor issues as the company puts their finishing touches on the website. That applies in this situation, as we ran into a few issues – perhaps we can call it construction dust. Based on everything we’ve seen so far, we expect these issues to be temporary as the site developers finish their work.
For example, some of the links don’t work within the support documentation. The good news is that the AI agent seems to know all the information inside those missing documents, so you can use the “live support” feature to ask questions and get helpful information.
Another example: as of this writing, there is a placeholder on the homepage for an app, but the app doesn’t exist yet. Support assures us that the app is in the works, and that it will be available for both Android and Apple phones. So for now, you just have to ignore any mention of the app.
Those issues aside, here’s our overall impression of the site…
Yes, the design is simple yet professional. One thing we really liked about the site is that you get to control whether you want to view the site in “Dark Mode” (with a dark background) or “Light Mode” (with a light background). This is a great accessibility feature for those with vision issues, but even players with perfect vision will enjoy choosing the mode that best suits their needs and preferences.
Once you sign into the site with your PUNTR login, you’ll find everything is neatly organized and accessible. Along the top of the screen you’ll see your site’s balance, as well as information about your current standing in the rewards program. Alongside the left of the screen you’ll find links to the Daily Flex, the challenges that require entry fees, your pick slips, the “Refer and Earn” link, the different sports categories and when the challenges start, and more.
You’ll find that there is a broad range of fantasy sports available, including:
On any given day you’ll find thousands of markets around which you can create your Pick Slips, although some of the challenges may not happen for several days.
Overall, everything on the site is pretty straightforward. We suggest you start with the “Daily Flex” so that you can get a feel for how the site works. Once you feel confident about your picks and about how everything works, then you can move onto the paid challenges with entry fees.
Here’s how the paid challenges work:
Entry fees vary by challenge, but they generally range from about $5 to $500. When it comes time to calculate your winnings, the entry fee will be treated as your stake.
Winnings are calculated based on PUNTR’s proprietary “TrueOdds” computation. The odds dictate how likely or unlikely something is to occur. The more risky your pick is (which is a difficult pick), along with you getting more picks correct, the higher your winnings will be. As such, there is no set multiplier.
Take note – even if you do three, five, or more picks, your slip doesn’t need to be perfect in order for you to win something. In fact, this is one factor that sets PUNTR apart from other similar sites. Plenty of other sites return a dead slip if you get even one pick wrong. This challenge site believes that you should get rewarded for being close, so you can win even if you get some picks wrong!
Your personal multiplier will be applied to eligible challenges only. This multiplier starts at 0.25, but it increases as you move up through the levels of the loyalty program. However, support tells us that the maximum multiplier will not be published publicly, so we can only speculate on what that will be.
An example of how the multiplier works: if you have a personal multiplier of 0.5 and you win a challenge that normally pays $10, you’d get $15.
When you’re ready to enter paid challenges, click on the “Make Picks” button at the top of the page. You’ll then choose how much to deposit, you’ll have to agree to the terms and conditions, and then you’ll be taken to the payment options. You can use your credit card or debit card to pay your entry fees. Depending on where you live, you may see different options, such as PayPal, Google Pay, and similar. Support told us that these options vary by region.
For withdrawing your winnings the same thing applies – the options may vary by region. However, you’ll generally receive your winnings using the same method you used to pay your challenge fees. Withdrawals take no more than 10 days, but if you’ve verified your identity already, it should be faster. Some options may take longer than others – for example, if a bank transfer is offered, that’s going to take longer than a payment to your debit card.

One thing we really liked about PUNTR’s “support” section is that they have quite a few articles and documents explaining how PUNTR works. There were a few dead links when we tried to access some of the information, but as mentioned previously, the AI agent was able to fill in the blanks. We have to admit that this is one of the best AI agents we’ve seen. (If you’ve talked to bots before, then you know how frustrating it can be at times.)
If the AI agent doesn’t give you what you need, no problem. You can ask the bot to redirect you to a live agent. Alternatively, you can email support using the link provided at the bottom of the chat. We used the live chat option, and “Brad” replaced the AI bot. It took about 15 minutes for Brad to appear on the chat, but once he did he answered our questions thoroughly.
We also tried out the email option, and we haven’t yet received a response in over a day. As such, we highly suggest you use the live chat option, as it will be faster.

For this part of the review, we started off by looking up the company that owns PUNTR. It’s a new company called Plyr Interactive, INC, that incorporated in Delaware in June of 2025. From everything we’ve seen about this company, they have their business structure in order and compliant with the law. You can find their incorporation filing online if you’d like to see it, plus you can read the various legal documents on the site such as their terms and conditions, privacy policy, and GDPR policy. We’ve reviewed all this information and didn’t see anything concerning.
The second factor we looked at for this part of the PUNTR review is whether your information is secure on the site. This company also employs industry-standard encryption to keep your data safe.
This new sports skill games platform looks promising for anyone who loves sports and loves making predictions. The free Daily Flex gives you a free opportunity to learn how the site works while getting a shot at winning a real prize, while the paid challenges give you an opportunity to enjoy bigger winnings based on your performance. We’re enjoying this site already, and we look forward to seeing what features and benefits they roll out in the future.
If you’d like to join us all you have to do is click the PUNTR banner on this site. If there is a promo code available, you’ll find it on the banner, otherwise all site benefits will be available just as soon as you sign up and log in. Happy picking!
As is standard with these types of sports skill games sites, you’ll need to provide your identification, a selfie, and other documents as required to verify your identity before you can collect any of your winnings.
The most common time to receive bonuses happens as you move through the levels of the rewards program. However, PUNTR may offer them via email, dropped directly into your account, or you may find them on this site if a promo code is available.
There are thousands of challenges across the broad range of sports. For example, if you’re participating in a hockey challenge, you might make picks for which player is the first one to make a goal, which player is the last one to make a goal, the highest-scoring period, 3-way moneylines, whether both teams will score in a specific period, and more.
