Release date, abilities revealed for new Valorant agent Tejo

New Valorant agent Tejo has been officially unveiled and fans might wonder what his release date will be and what abilities he’ll have. Those answers have now been shared for the game’s 27th agent.

Riot Games has kept fans on the edge with the sheer amount of agents added to the Valorant roster. The most recent agent 26, VYSE, became a massive hit after Riot buffed the agent, making her a fan favorite. Riot has also nerfed the overpowered Neon, ensuring that players won’t have an unfair advantage in matches and further incentivizing players to keep on playing.

On December 9, 2024, Valorant teased a new upcoming agent, the 27th for its roster. While the teaser didn’t show much besides the agent jumping off a plane, it had fans excited about the new addition to the game. In addition, a new teaser was released on January 2, 2025, showing a countdown for his release. Tejo has now officially been revealed, and these are his abilities and release date details.

When will Tejo be available to play in Valorant?

Valorant’s newest agent Tejo will be added to and made available for play with the Season 2025 Act I, which begins on January 8, 2025.

Tejo is a Columbian intelligence operative who retired from the military to become a consultant. The new agent appears in a yellow jacket, black undershirt, jeans, and a belt with a gold buckle. Valorant’s agent 27 also wears polarized sunglasses and has a slicked-back hairstyle.

Tejo’s abilities were showcased in the official gameplay reveal by Valorant on YouTube. The new agent is good with drones and also has an AR tracking system that can locate enemies and detonate them upon arrival. Tejo’s main objective as an Initiator would be to gather information and coordinate with teammates to plan a good offense.

Tejo abilities revealed and detailed

The official reveal for Teji shows him to be an Initiator agent with abilities that focus on using drones to locate enemies and missiles to detonate at their location.

Tejo has three core abilities:

• Stealth Drone – A drone that can be equipped and then controlled to locate enemies. The player can press fire a pulse that suppresses and reveals enemies that are hit by it.
• Guided Salvo – An AR targeting system that can be equipped and allow the player to press fire to select up to two target locations on the map. ALT fire launches missiles that navigate to the targeted locations and detonate upon arrival and contact.
• Special Delivery –  A sticky grenade that players can equip and fire and launch. The grenade sticks to the first target it hits and detonates. All targets in the vicinity are concussed upon its explosion. ALT fire launches the grenade but with a single bounce occurring before detonation.

Tejo’s ultimate is Armageddon, an ability that allows the player to strike a specific section of the map. Players can select the origin point of the strike and the endpoint. Once the strike is launched, the whole area in the strike path is lit up with explosions. There is a slightly delay before these explosions reach their specified end, giving players an opportunity to move out of the way prior to contact.
