The Red Bull Wololo, iconic Age of Empires tournament, is returning to London this upcoming April, and taking over one of its more recognisable landmarks for its Londinium event.

With tickets on sale today (Dec. 3, 2025), Red Bull Wololo: Londinium World’s Edge will feature both Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV, with a dozen players from around the globe competing in a trio of venues, the eighth edition of Red Bull Wololo is sure to be something to remember.

Red Bull Wololo to take over the Royal Albert Hall for Londinium

The six-day tournament will kicks-off on April 1, but this tournament is no joke. With the group stage running until the third at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere, Shoreditch, the playoffs at The Odeon Luxe Cinema, Leicester Square, and the Grand Final at the Royal Albert Hall, there’s a momentous air to this event.

And that atmosphere has been amplified by the takeover of numerous London landmarks today (Dec. 3), as medieval street performers and promoters at Leicester Square, Tower Bridge, Hyde Park, and the Royal Albert Hall brought Age of Empires to life. All this is in celebration of tickets going on sale for Red Bull Wololo: Londinium World’s Edge.

But the trip to the Royal Albert Hall isn’t just for show. Instead, the event will be taking full use of the space, with a 40-piece orchestra performing some of the franchises’ legendary soundtrack. That means a potentially unique concert.

All in all, the stage is set for an incredibly unique esports event in one of the most iconic venues in the world. If you’re a fan of Age of Empires, this definitely isn’t one to miss.
