Popular streamer and political commentator Steven “Destiny” Bonnell is now banned on Kick, leaving fans curious about the reason and duration of the ban.
As controversies continue to rock the streaming world, even Kick cracking down on its biggest names. When Twitch banned Melina Goransson, fans were left wondering whether her close association with Destiny had anything to do with it. Now that the news has broke of Destiny himself being banned on Kick, fans are left bewildered. Fans understandably want to know why Destiny was banned on Kick and when he’ll be back so they can enjoy his content.
However, Destiny took to the social platform X to announce his ban and reveal the reason and duration.
After getting booted from Kick, Destiny revealed that he was banned for hate speech.
Destiny made a tweet on X to confirm his ban. In the screenshot, he revealed hate speech as the reason for his ban. Destiny had been sharing his thoughts on the July 13 Donald Trump rally shooting and had been quite vocal. He openly stated that he would make fun of those supporting the former and possibly future president of the United States.
Destiny was even abusive towards the firefighters who responded on the scene of the shooting. This caused severe backlash from both viewers and detractors, with some calling for his social media and streaming accounts to be taken down. Eventually, this led to Destiny’s X account being demonetized some hours before Destiny got kicked from Kick.
Destiny is banned from Kick until the end of July 2024.
Destiny will not be away from Kick for too long. The streamer shared details in the screenshot of his ban message. The temporary suspension will be lifted on July 31, 2024, and Destiny will be able to stream on Kick again. News on his Twitch ban is still scarce, and the political commentator will likely never return to the purple platform. In the meantime, he will likely continue to post on X and other social media websites.
