Wonderkids are every Football Manager player’s favorite thing about the game. But who will be the best wonderkids in Football Manager 2023?
Many of the wonderkids in Football Manager 2022 have now moved to bigger clubs, meaning a new crop will come into play for Football Manager 2023. Let’s try to predict who some of those faces will be.
Does this kid’s name look familiar to you? That will be because he’s the younger brother of Jude Bellingham, winner of the 2022 NXGN award.
Jobe is now starting to see some game time off Birmingham City’s bench, and, although he may not be as good as his brother, there is quietly some hype around his future. He may not be the best wonderkid in Football Manager 2023 upon its release, but he will more than likely come under the wonderkid bracket.
17-year-old Frenchman Mathys Tel joined Bayern Munich in the Summer for a fee reported to be up to £25m. If a club as big as Bayern is willing to stump up that kind of money for him, he’s certain to be one of the best wonderkids in Football Manager for years to come.
It would be a huge upgrade for him from Football Manager 2022, however, where his Potential Ability range is only 100-130. The upgrade is certain to come, he’s already become Bayern’s youngest ever goalscorer.
Levi Colwill had a reasonable potential in Football Manager 2022, with a 130-160 range. This is certain to be upgraded for him to become one of the best wonderkid Defenders in Football Manager 2023.
He enjoyed a breakthrough season with Chelsea in 21/22, but was shipped on loan to Brighton as a makeweight in Chelsea’s deal for Marc Cucurella.
Borussia Dortmund love signing young English talents and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is the latest of those to break through into the first team. Already a wonderkid in Football Manager 2022, it’s rare to see him break into the first team, this will certainly not be the case in Football Manager 2023.
Tricky on the ball and a good finisher too, Bynoe-Gittens is definitely a wonderkid to look out for in Football Manager 2023.
Just like Mathys Tel, Ekitike is another French youngster who earned a big move over the Summer. The now-PSG star is disappointing on Football Manager 2022, however, with just 140 Potential Ability.
His big move should earn him a big upgrade though. You can be sure he will be one of the best wonderkids in Football Manager 2023.
Maarten Vandevoort is a Goalkeeper we mentioned in our best Goalkeeper in Football Manager 2022 list. He will be moving to RB Leipzig in the future, however, so don’t expect to sign him easily in Football Manager 2023.
We’d be willing to bet he’ll be the best wonderkid Goalkeeper in Football Manager 2023.
Swedish FC Kobenhavn star Bardghji is another player to feature on one of our Football Manager 2022 wonderkid lists. Like Tel, he is another player with a ‘youngest goalscorer’ record, this time in the Danish Superliga.
Yet to move from Kobenhavn, expect Bardghji to be one of the cheaper wonderkids in Football Manager 2023 upon its release.
RB Salzburg has been a wonderkid factory for years now, with players in both our Defenders and Strikers lists.
Okoh is the latest product from the line, he already has a 140-170 Potential Ability in Football Manager 2022. Expect this to be upgraded with his increased game time. He will be one of the best wonderkid Center Backs in Football Manager 2023.
Liverpool has had a healthy crop of youngsters coming through the ranks for a while now. Signed from Derby, Gordon is another youngster that will be looking to follow in Alexander-Arnold’s footsteps and break into the first team.
He might get his chance too if Liverpool has another heavily injury-hit season. He’ll be one of the better wonderkids at Liverpool in Football Manager 2023.
Completing our list of Football Manager 2023 wonderkid predictions is Southampton’s Romeo Lavia. Only signed from Man City in Summer, he was rumored to have been the subject of a £50m bid from Chelsea on deadline day.
Southampton’s rejection of this offer is proof alone that Lavia will be one of the best Wonderkids in Football Manager 2023.
Here is our list of features we want to see in the new game!
