Select players can now pre-register for Valorant Mobile

Riot Games has made Valorant Mobile official after years of speculations and leaks, and fans now know when they’ll be able to pre-register to play the game on both Android and iOS devices.

Valorant Mobile has been in development since as early as 2021, and hype over the game being brought to mobile devices only grew when gameplay clips were leaked. Since then developers confirmed ongoing play tests and formal plans to bring Valorant to Android and Apple devices. These reports were further corroborated by the fact that officials in China approved the game for release.

A beta was released for players in China in 2024 and since then fans worldwide have been eagerly waiting to play the game on their mobile devices. On April 21, Riot Games tweeted that Valorant Mobile will go live and that China will be the first region to get it the game on their phones.

Pre-registration opens in China for Valorant Mobile

Riot Games announced players in China will be eligible for pre-registration for Valorant Mobile beginning April 21.

Riot’s tweet stated that the developer wants to bring Valorant Mobile to everyone eventually, but that the game will currently only be available in China. This makes given that China is one of the largest competitive gaming markets in the world. Initially reaching those players will be beneficial for Riot. Global players outside of China will later be able to play the game as Riot stated plans to enter more markets.

It’s unclear at the time of this writing when Riot will release the game globally, but the developer shared that further updates will be delivered to fans in due time. Valorant Mobile’s performance once released to players in China may affect Riot’s release schedule for other countries and regions. Fans can rest assured that they’ll get the game on their mobile devices eventually however, as Riot has finally made its global rollout official.

Chinese players can pre-register for Valorant Mobile by going to the game’s official website and following the instructions there.

Valorant Mobile is initally releasing exclusively in China, thus only Chinese players being eligible to pre-register for the game initially. That pre-registration opportunity should be extended to players in other regions in time, but there aren’t yet any guarantees on when that will be.
