PGL Wallachia Season 4 will bring together most of Dota 2’s best teams, but who are the betting favorites to win the event?
2025 is off to an interesting start for Dota 2 esports fans. While there has often been a singularly dominant team in the game, six teams have either made the grand finals of a tier-one tournament or placed top four across multiple tournaments. This means that each event has multiple very strong contenders to win.
That makes it fun for fans, but awkward for bettors who want to wade into the outright winner market. So with that in mind, who is the favorite to win PGL Wallachia Season 4?
PGL Wallachia Season 4 has 16 teams competing, with six of them having a solid chance of winning.
The Europe and CIS regions have been utterly dominant in Dota 2 and there’s no sign of that changing. Here are all the teams competing at PGL Wallachia Season 4 and the odds attached to them winning the event:
Betting sites feel that there are effectively three tiers of competitors at this event. Six teams stand far ahead of the rest of the pack, while squads like Team Tidebound, Aurora Gaming, and Xtreme Gaming are worthy of Hail Mary consideration. This tournament is still regarded as quite competitive though, as the 40.0 line on Mosquito Clan is still comparatively low when some events see teams with 100-to-1 lines on them.
Team Spirit is the favorite to win PGL Wallachia Season 4 after a string of strong placements in 2025. The team won DreamLeague Season 5 and has placed in the top four at three other events. Its worst showing to this point in the year was a top-six showing at Fissure Universe 4. Its most recent placement was reaching the grand finals of ESL One Raleigh.
Team Spirit is rightly regarded by many as the best Dota 2 team in the world, but it’s worth noting that the team doesn’t actually win that many tournaments, even though it gets favorite billing by betting sites. Across 2024 and 2025, the team actually has more second-place finishes than first-place finishes. That means there are plenty of squads worth considering past Spirit.
Tundra Esports and Parivision should arguably be the favorites to win PGL Wallachia over Team Spirit. While a lot goes into formulating the betting odds for esports tournament winners, it’s hard to make sense of Spirit being a decided favorite over Tundra and Parivision.
Parivision hasn’t been as consistent in its placements, but it has won ESL One Bangkok and ESL One Raleigh over the last six months. That finish in Raleigh actually came at the expense of Team Spirit.
On the other hand, Tundra has been the best and most consistent team of 2025 so far. Across six events, it has two first-place finishes, two second-place, and one third-place finish. Both Tundra and Parivision should arguably be looked at as the favorites to win PGL Wallachia Season 4 over Spirit.
Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, and Team Liquid all have some solid placements and are worth considering for bets on the outright winner. Still, Spirit, Tundra, and Parivision definitively stand above the rest.
