Format and key dates

PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 will consist of two stages:

Group stage (Feb 14-18): The Group Stage will take place on LAN from February 14th to February 18th. It will be carried out in a Swiss-stage round-robin BO3 format, where teams must amass 3 match wins to advance to the playoffs. Eight teams qualify for the playoffs, with the other eight being eliminated.
Playoffs stage (Feb. 20-22): The playoffs in the BT Arena will take place from February 20th to February 22nd, culminating with a BO5 Grand Final. Four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the third-place decider match will be best-of-three matches.

PGL Cluj-Napoca will welcome 16 top CS2 teams with some of the best CS2 players within their rosters. Among the attendees are the reigning Cluj-Napoca champions MOUZ, the current best team in the world, Vitality, and the youngsters FUT, replacing Legacy.

PGL Cluj-Napoca biggest storylines

After their performance in 2025 and at IEM Kraków 2026, there is no doubt in anybody’s mind that Vitality are the CS2 betting favorites to lift the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 trophy.

However, which other teams have a shot at the title? One of them is certainly FURIA. The Brazilians are comfortably the second-best team in the world at the moment, with the ability to challenge Vitality on their day.

Another interesting team to consider is MOUZ. The international squad came out on top in Cluj-Napoca in 2025, besting Falcons in the Grand Final. However, this year won’t be as easy, as the field is much stronger than it was 12 months ago.

It will be interesting to see if the top teams that struggled in Kraków can bounce back in this event. This group includes names like FaZe, NAVI, Falcons, and even The MongolZ.

We will also see if PARIVISION’s BLAST Bounty victory was a fluke or if they are here to stay among the CS2 elite. The CS2 odds might not favor the Russians as hard as they did at IEM Kraków.

Hopefully, PGL put on a good show, and PGL Cluj-Napoca will become a mainstay in the upcoming CS2 events calendar for years to come.
