The PGL Antwerp Major is shaping up to be the most popular CS:GO event ever. Days after setting a new peak viewership record for the Challengers Stage, the broadcast had more than one million viewers during the first day of the Legends Stage.
The peak happened during the final set of matches from the opening round. As the finalists of the previous Major, G2, and NAVI, clashed on the A-stream, Brazilian sweethearts Imperial faced BIG on the secondary.
The two matches amassed over a million viewers, 1 035 477 to be precise, according to numbers from Escharts.com.
The most popular match of the Major thus far is the match between Forze and Imperial on the final day of the Challengers Stage.
The do-or-die match had more than 700.000 people watching the Imperial players return to the biggest of stages, with Lincoln “fnx” Lau keeping his 100% win rate at Majors alive.
