The fourth week of VCT Pacific Stage 1 is only a few days away. One of the most anticipated matches is the rematch between Paper Rex and Global Esports in Group Alpha. Two teams that have faced off against each other twice already in the VCT 2026 season have had quite thrilling fixtures.

This will be the third match between Paper Rex and Global Esports. In the previous two encounters, Paper Rex got the better of their opponents. In both matches, Paper Rex won with a scoreline of 2-1. Due to this result, Global Esports were knocked out of VCT Pacific Kickoff while Paper Rex qualified for VALORANT Masters Santiago.
In that competition, Paper Rex finished in second place after losing to Nongshim RedForce in the grand final. Global Esports started their journey in VCT Pacific Stage 1 on quite a run of form, winning their first two games.
In their previous game against DRX, they lost with a 2-0 scoreline.
Paper Rex has had quite a similar story during VCT Pacific Stage 1, with a record of 2-1. This match will be quite crucial for both teams as the winner will be highly likely to secure a spot in the playoff stage of VCT Pacific Stage 1.

This match will primarily depend on one factor: if Split is banned. In the previous match between these two teams, Global Esports defeated Paper Rex with a 13-5 scoreline.
Split has been regarded as one of the weaker maps for Paper Rex, who have a 54% win rate on the map. Another map pick to watch out for is Breeze.
On this map, Paper Rex has a 64% win rate this VCT 2026 season, with Ilya “something” Petrov being consistent with an ACS of 241.
Another stat point to keep an eye on is the pistol round win rate difference between the two teams. In their previous match against Kiwoom DRX, Global Esports won all 4 pistol rounds.
Paper Rex currently just has a win rate of 52%. This season, we have seen Global Esports win a lot more thrifty rounds compared to previous seasons. According to the stats, GE wins 22% of its “Thrifty” rounds. This is the highest by any team from Group Alpha.
If we take a look at betting websites, the favorites to win this game are Paper Rex. The reason for this is due to the previous two fixtures between these two teams and the fact that Global Esports lost their previous match.
Our prediction for this game is that the series will go once again to three maps, with Paper Rex winning with a scoreline of 2-1. If Global Esports wins the first map, then they have a much higher chance of winning this game.
