Teams analysis

Paper Rex and DRX are slated to face off for the first time in the VCT 2026 season. The match will be taking place on Feb. 12 at Sangam Colosseum, Seoul. The last time these two teams faced off against each other was at VALORANT Champions 2025. In this face-off, DRX came out on top with a 2-0 scoreline.

During the VCT Pacific 2026 season, Paper Rex had an interesting time in the tournament. The favourites to win the tournament, in their first match, secured a victory against Global Esports 2-1.
This match was a lot closer than the prior matches between these two teams. Paper Rex didn’t seem to be in the sharpest form, making silly blunders in multiple rounds.
Following this victory, the team lost in back-to-back matches against RRQ and T1, pushing them into the lower bracket. In the lower bracket, they once again faced off against Global Esports.
After an intense three-map series, Paper Rex secured the win on the third map in overtime.

DRX’s start wasn’t the best either; they lost to Full Sense in their first match 2-1. Following this, they won against Varrel Esports, but lost to T1 in the middle bracket. In the lower bracket, they defeated the likes of Zeta Division and got their revenge on Full Sense with a 2-0 clean sweep.
