VCT Pacific Kickoff 2026 is nearly completed. With just a few matches left, only six teams remain in the tournament. Two of the most popular teams in the VCT Pacific region, Paper Rex and DRX, are slated to face off against each other. This is our Paper Rex vs DRX preview.
Paper Rex and DRX are slated to face off for the first time in the VCT 2026 season. The match will be taking place on Feb. 12 at Sangam Colosseum, Seoul. The last time these two teams faced off against each other was at VALORANT Champions 2025. In this face-off, DRX came out on top with a 2-0 scoreline.
DRX’s start wasn’t the best either; they lost to Full Sense in their first match 2-1. Following this, they won against Varrel Esports, but lost to T1 in the middle bracket. In the lower bracket, they defeated the likes of Zeta Division and got their revenge on Full Sense with a 2-0 clean sweep.

Take a deep dive into this game; there isn’t a clear Valorant betting favourite to win this match.
Both teams have an equal shot at winning this fixture. The reason for this is not because the teams are currently performing the best, but rather it’s due to none of them being in good form. Many predicted that both Paper Rex and DRX would make it to VCT Masters Santiago which starts on Feb. 28. Now there is a possibility that neither will make it to the tournament.
It must be stated that this season, neither of the primary duelists from both teams has been able to have a dominant performance.
In our opinion, Paper Rex has a slight chance to win this best-of-three series. They have been able to win multiple matches if they go to the third map in a best-of-three series.

If DRX has to win, they will need to win the first map of the series. Paper Rex hasn’t won a game when they lose the first map. We believe DRX will win 2-0, but if they lose the first map, then Paper Rex will qualify further.
