Paper Rex dominate Full Sense to win VCT Pacific Stage 1 grand final

VCT Pacific Stage 1 Paper Rex Grand Final

Paper Rex are the champions of VCT Pacific Stage 1 after defeating Full Sense in a thrilling grand final, securing their spot at VALORANT Masters London with one of the most dominant performances in the tournament’s history.

Since the start of the tournament, one team that was the favorite was Paper Rex. They had finished VALORANT Master Santiago as runners-up, losing to Nongshim RedForce in the grand final.

In the playoffs, they lost to Global Esports for the first time in five years and got pushed into the lower bracket.

After defeating Kiwoom DRX, T1, and Global Esports in the lower bracket, PRX reached the grand finals.

During this match, Paper Rex proved why they are still one of the best teams in the world. They became the first team to know how to counter Papaphat “primmie” Sriprapha. In this match, Primmie had one of his worst performances this season.

Once again, the duo of Ilya “something” Petrov and Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto were in immaculate form. It did feel like both players were in a flow state. Both players alternated between the duelist and controller roles in this match.

Coach Alex unhappy despite Paper Rex dominating the grand final

In the post-match press conference, Coach Alex stated the following on the team losing multiple pistol rounds and being frustrated in the match feed:

“I just think that the rounds could have been a lot cleaner. [To be honest] we lost those rounds just by making some really careless mistakes. There is stuff that really gets me annoyed at this team. But, like I said, it’s the finals and they want to have some fun. I know they are confident, but I am more upset when rounds are not played at the standards that I like.”

With this win, Paper Rex secures the Pacific #1 seed at VALORANT Masters London. They will receive a spot in the playoff stage of the competition. Additionally, they become the second team to qualify for the tournament, VALORANT x EWC 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
