OG eliminates Team Secret from ESL One Malaysia 2022 and qualifies to set up a grand finals berth against Team Aster.
The lower bracket finals between OG vs Team Secret was a whitewash, with the former demolishing the latter in two straight games.
The first game was close until an important Roshan fight, which saw OG gain momentum before team-wiping Team Secret and getting the upper edge.
The Roshan pit fight was initiated by Secret in a bid to secure the Aegis, which gave OG the chance to make their move. They exterminated the former and secured the Aegis, and subsequently kept on winning more fights after the other.
It was all but over for Puppey and co. in game one.
The second game was the most one-sided match as Team Secret fumbled with their “creative” drafts. Secret opted for an area-of-damage (AoE) draft with Nisha on Enigma, Resolution on Tide and Crystallis on Razor.
However, OG had the perfect counter: Chen, Slark and Puck.
But it was deja vu all over again.
Once again Secret made the decision to secure the Aegis in the Roshan pit, and once again OG saw their opening.
In a situation akin to the previous game, OG grabbed the opportunity and destroyed Team Secret’s creative picks and went on to secure the series.
OG moves on to the grand finals to face Team Aster, whereas Team Secret finishes in third place at the last Dota 2 event before TI11.
Moral of the story: OG eliminates Team Secret. Kappa.
