Streamer and personality Elias “NymN” Mlayeh has announced alongside fellow streamer Yabbe that the couple are now engaged to be married.
Yabbe isn’t quite as popular and well-known as her partner but she has been in the limelight for various reasons over the past year. These range from her getting banned from Twitch for allegedly saying that “all men should die” while apparently under the influence, to expressing a controversial opinion about Félix “xQc” Lengyel.
On the other hand, NymN is a popular streamer who has accrued over 300,000 followers on Twitch. In addition, he has also starred in Hollywood movies including Pacific Rim and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The two have been in a relationship for some years now and it looks like they’re ready to take the next step in making it official.
Streamers NymN and Yabbe announced during a Twitch stream that they are now an engaged couple.
On December 31, 2024, in his New Year’s Karaoke Stream NymN did something special when he asked his partner Yabbe to marry him. Yabbe stated that she said yes and would next go to see fireworks with her fiance.
NymN asked Yabbe to show fans her engagement ring and claimed that he was more nervous about this than the New Year’s show. The streamer went on to say that it all worked out in the end, and happily so.
Fans appreciated the duo for keeping their engagement announcement simple and not streaming a dramatic proposal. In addition, viewers felt this would be a good start to the new year for the couple as 2025 gets underway.
That’s not to say all the reactions by fans to the engagement announcement have been positive. Some viewers jokingly stated that the Swedish gamer and streamer Hans “Forsen” Eli Sebastian Fors “will be devastated.” There are some fans who have previously assumed NymN to be in a legitimate romantic relationship with Forsen, but most have seen the suggestion as a clear joke.
There’s nothing to suggest that it has been anything but that, although a tweet by Forsen was cited as evidence to allege that the streamer had joked about going on a break specifically because of the announcement of Nymn and Yabbe’s engagement. On December 31, 2024, Forsen claimed that he wouldn’t stream for a year. The streamer likely was more than likely joking about the year 2024 coming to a close, allowing him to get right back to streaming in 2025 while still technically remaining true to his word.
