The team frequently gives unnecessary rounds to the enemy before making comebacks, as was particularly evident against DRX in the group stage. The downside is that this approach may not always be effective, as not every comeback attempt is guaranteed to work out.
A strong team like GIANTX has a real chance to capitalize on this to maintain pressure on NRG. With strong eco rounds and mid-round calls, GIANTX’s biggest advantage may be its IGL, Cloud. His excellent calls, especially in attacking rounds, position the rookie player as someone who could very well lead GIANTX to the upper bracket semifinals.
All of this doesn’t mean the match will be easy. s0m and mada are excellent players who usually lead NRG in frags, even if brawk is often seen at the bottom of the scoreboard. The deciding factor may be which team has better initiations, in which case GIANTX’s Flickless could edge NRG out.
