Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer is returning to competitive League of Legends after a winter break and is reportedly joining Team Vitality as the starting support for its LoL roster after making a surprising position change.
Nisqy is a popular professional LoL player who last played for German esports organization SK Gaming. After reportedly being benched since August, the player was dropped by the team in December. Nisqy had the opportunity to make a comeback with Shopify Rebillion in the LTA, but it didn’t go through, and he decided to take a break instead.
Nisqy has now reportedly returned to the professional scene and is joining the French esports organization Team Vitality. In a surprising turn of events, the Belgian player will be replacing Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov and changing positions in doing so.
Nisqy will reportedly be playing in the LEC as a support for the first time for Team Vitality, and veteran player Hylissang will be benched.
After a less-than-stellar 2024 with SK Gaming, Nisqy was left teamless at the start of 2025. While the Belgian player was searching for a team to make his return, nothing seemed to have panned out. His return with Vitality and a change of position have both come as a surprise for fans.
Fans are excited to see Nisqy return, but many have expressed their doubts. They think he’ll find it challenging to adapt to his new role as the team’s starting support so close to the Spring Split. Nisqy has apparently been training vigorously in solo queue and has attained a 51.1% win rate after 90 games, but that’s scant little experience for a role at the professional level.
Nisqy has significant experience with competitive LoL. He is also an impressive player, so it’ll be worth seeing how he performs in his new role. He was also considered for the position of midlaner last off-season, but Vitality opted for Mateusz “Czajek” Czajka instead.
Bulgarian LoL player Hyslissang has likely been swapped out of Vitality because of a lack of sufficient performance in recent years.
Hylissang hasn’t had too much luck in recent years, but there’s no denying he has an impressive track record of accomplishments. His 11 consecutive years in the LEC and six World Championship appearances prove that he is one of the best European support players in the game’s history.
Hylissang showed a glimmer of hope in the most recent split, and some fans were excited about whether the player would make an impressive comeback. His being benched has squashed that, but Hylissang is still under contract with Vitality until November 2026.
