Ninjas In Pyjamas have made it out of the IEM Cologne play-ins. The Swedish team beat mousesports for a spot in the competition.
The series started with a dominant showing by NIP on Mirage. Hampus and his men played a solid CT-side, only giving away five rounds in the first half. After switching sides, NIP dominated the middle of the map and shut down mousesports’ AWPer acoR.
After closing out the first map with a 16-8 scoreline, NIP carried on their momentum going into Ancient. Mousesports needed an incredible performance from its star player ropz to make it a more competitive scoreline but still ended up losing in 16-10 fashion.
While NIP has qualified for the main tournament, mousesports have to play an all-or-nothing game against either Evil Geniuses or Vice for a spot at the event.
Bad news Bear’s tournament life has ended after only two series. The North-American squad was considered among the weakest team in the running but still managed to make NA CS proud.
Vitality has qualified for the main tournament of IEM Cologne. The French squad survived a close match against Team Spirit, who have to win their following lower bracket match to keep their dreams alive.
