Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), one of the most iconic esports organizations in the world, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a CS2 showmatch between past and present players on November 5th.
The showmatch, organized in partnership with Rainbet, will see Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund spearhead the team of NIP Legends. They played together on NIP for seven years, forming one of the most well-known Counter-Strike duos ever. During their stay on NIP, they helped NIP get their unmatched 87-0 record between 2012 and 2013, and to win the ESL One Cologne 2014 Major.
The other three Legend players will be announced on NIP’s socials in the coming days, and f0rest is already counting the days to the showmatch.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating this significant milestone for NIP alongside my former teammates from over a decade ago,” f0rest said about the 25th anniversary showmatch.
Together we achieved a Major title and a win record that still stands today. It’s now time to prove that we have still got it against some of the best players in the world, who proudly represent NIP today.
F0rest and co. will face a mix of NIP’s current main team and women’s team. Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, and Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara will be the ones representing the main team, while Ksenia “vilga” Klyuenkova and Mia “aiM” Cooper are the NIP Impact representatives.

Even though CS2 matches typically end if a team wins by 2-0, the NIP showmatch will carry on if that happens. Should one of the teams win by 2-0, they’ll assemble two new teams, mixing the NIP Legends and the current players.
NIP’s 25th anniversary showmatch will be broadcast live on November 5th at 6 p.m. CET across YouTube and Twitch. Alternatively, fans can also watch it on f0rest and GeT_RiGhT‘s Twitch channels.
However, if you’re in the Stockholm area, you can also watch it at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere (RBGS), and meet f0rest, who will be streaming from there. NIP will distribute free tickets to the RBGS watch party via socials and its website soon.
