Nijisanji announces Aster Arcadia graduation, fans not happy

Aster Arcadia return

Fans no longer have to wonder whether Aster Arcadia will return, as Nijisanji has announced that he’s now separating from the agency, but the graduation announcement has done little to quiet the drama surrounding the vtuber and her agency.

The allegations against Aster Arcadia and Nijisanji were huge when they were revealed, and fans have been waiting for the results of a promised impartial investigation since. No information or results of the investigation ever surfaced, but action was taken against one person involved. Twisty Amanozako first went on an indefinite hiatus, which ultimately led to her termination from the agency.

Nijisanji gave reasons for the termination, but many alleged the agency just wanted to get rid of Twisty to quiet the noise around the apparent issue. Others questioned why no action was taken against Aster Arcadia and whether they were guilty. Nijisanji has now announced that Aster Arcadia is separating from the agency, but the graduation announcement has left fans divided.

When will Aster Arcadia graduate?

On July 15, Nijisanji announced that Aster Arcadia will graduate from the agency on that same day, as the vtuber will not resume his streaming activities further.

Aster Arcadia’s departure from Nijisanji was apparently effective immediately. The vtuber’s X account was made private, and videos from his YouTube channel disappeared. He last steamed content in December 2024, after allegations against him were made public. The content creator had a pending cooking livestream that was continuously postponed. It became a running joke among viewers as they speculated whether Aster Arcadia would ever stream it.

Aster Arcadia graduation

Nijisanji’s announcement has specified that Aster Arcadia won’t resume streaming activities with the agency. This means that the vtuber won’t do a final graduation stream or perform in any other sort of send-off stream. This isn’t necessarily uncommon, and in this case it’s particularly easy to understand given the allegations levied against the vtuber. However, viewers are still unhappy with the way Nijisanji is dealing with the related allegations and how the agency has announced Aster Arcadia’s departure.

The verbiage Nijisanji used in its announcement leaves the reasons for Aster Arcadia’s departure up for continued speculation. The agency stated that he was “separating” from Nijisanji, and fans questioned whether he was graduating or was terminated. Some even claimed that the agency was giving Aster Arcadia an opportunity for a dignified departure despite the serious allegations against him. Many of those fans have expressed their displeasure at the phrasing of the brief announcement and are demanding that Nijisanji make the results of its harassment investigation public.
