PGL Wallachia Season 3 is about to kick off and one of the most interesting matches on the docket for bettors is Nigma Galaxy vs Team Falcons.
Team Falcons made an immediate splash in Dota 2 by pulling together a super team made up of former members of Tundra Esports, Evil Geniuses, and other top squads. Despite never competing during The International’s crowdfunded heyday, the team has earned millions in prize pool winnings in short order.
The team marches on into PGL Wallachia, where it will start the event with a match against Nigma Galaxy. But how should bettors approach it?
Team Falcons’ Dota 2 team and Nigma Galaxy will face off in the opening round of PGL Wallachia Season 3’s group stage in a best-of-three match. The match is not an elimination match, so both teams will be competing in round two. Teams that win three matches advance to the playoffs, while teams that lose three are eliminated.
Team Falcons enters PGL Wallachia Season 3 after a hectic schedule. The team was actively competing throughout February, placing second in Fissure Playground 1, third in BLAST Slam 2, and fifth in DreamLeague Season 25. Here is the team’s roster in Wallachia:
Magnus, Dawnbreaker, Clockwerk, Huskar, and Enchantress stand among Team Falcons’ best heroes over the last month. For each one of them, the team has played at least eight games with the hero and has a winrate above 70%. Keep in mind, however, that the last major Dota 2 update will have had an impact on the strength of these heroes.
Team Nigma has struggled mightily over the last couple of years, but seems to have found its form with Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi moving from competition to coaching. The team looked strong in qualifiers in February and placed top four in BLAST Slam 2. Here is the post-KuroKy team roster that will be playing in PGL Wallachia Season 3:
Over the last three months, Nigma Galaxy’s best heroes have been Phantom Assassin, Ember Spirit, Bristleback, and Lion. All five of those heroes have been chosen at least eight times by Nigma, with the team winning over 80% of the time. Once again, note that the Wandering Waters update has shaken up the hero pool in a big way.

Nigma Galaxy and Team Falcons have played against each other twice, with both teams taking a win. The most recent came on February 4, 2025, with Nigma winning a best-of-one. The previous time was in January 2024, with Falcons winning 2-0.
Team Falcons is a sizable favorite over Nigma Galaxy, with the moneylines standing at 1.36 to 2.97. This makes it a comparatively tough one to approach, given the lack of certainty regarding the current state of both teams. Nigma could be trending up, Falcons could be trending down, but it’s not entirely clear how they line up.
Falcons should be able to handle Nigma Galaxy without much trouble, and the precedent suggests that a 2-0 score is the most likely outcome. Nigma hasn’t yet shown enough to make it worth betting on against the likes of Team Falcons.
