Emirati esports org Nigma Galaxy has announced that Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev will be the new carry for their Dota 2 roster after saying farewell to Daniel “Ghost” Chan earlier this week.
News of TA2000’s signing on loan from Team Yandex was revealed by a social media post on Wednesday (Oct. 5) confirming Nigma Galaxy’s lineup for their upcoming tournaments.
TA2000, a Kazakh player who was previously a part of Team Yandex, Virtus.pro, Aurora Gaming, and PSG Quest, has an impressive resume, and vaunted carry skills.
Tokayev was listed as an active roster player for Yandex during their highly successful runs at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1, but did not actively play in either of those tournaments.
His recent performances at events like Clavision Masters 2025 and the EWC 2025 highlighted his potential, but for many TA2000’s most memorable performances came in 2024 when he played alongside now Nigma Galaxy teammates Tony “No!ob” Assaf and Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi.
Tokayev replaces Ghost on Nigma, a long-time stand-in who departed the team officially on Sunday. The announcement of TA2000 also puts to bed rumors of the return of Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, the on-break former carry of Nigma Galaxy.
Nigma Galaxy’s next tournament is PGL Wallachia Season 6, where the team will face off against 15 other teams for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. This event could likely be Nigma’s last tournament of 2025.
