Emirati esports organization Nigma Galaxy has announced the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Khamzat Chimaev as their new brand ambassador, marking a landmark signing for the organization. The appointment was revealed by release on Nov. 19.
Chimaev is the current UFC Middleweight Champion, and regarded as one of the best fighters in the world. Nigma, a premier esports organization, has stated that Chimaev will bring a champion’s mindset to both the team, and the UAE’s growing esports ecosystem.
Chimaev became the UFC Middleweight Champion in August 2025, and celebrated under the UAE flag, having become a citizen of the country in January 2025.
As brand ambassador, Chimaev will reportedly host and front motivational and educational initiatives across Nigma Galaxy Academy. These will include athlete-inspired modules on mental fortitude, discipline and preparation. The stated aim is to help young gamers build “high-performance habits, resilience and responsible digital engagement.”

Additionally, Nigma Galaxy have explained that the Academy will set out clear pathways for aspiring esports professionals. That means progression tiers, mentorship, showcase events and routes into brand ambassadorship for standout talent. And for the lucky few, presumably, esports stardom.
Khamzat Chimaev commented on his appointment as Brand Ambassador:
“I am proud to represent the UAE in everything I do. This country has supported me like family, and now I am fortunate to join Nigma Galaxy to inspire others. I have always been passionate about gaming and competition. The same mindset that drives me in the Octagon can help shape champions in esports too,” says Chimaev.
Co-founder of Nigma Galaxy, Mohamed Morad, also shared his thoughts:
“This partnership symbolises the UAE’s pursuit of excellence. Khamzat embodies discipline, courage and determination, the same values that define Nigma Galaxy. Together, we are bridging the worlds of sport and esports to inspire young people with the belief that success comes through focus, teamwork and dedication.”

The release also highlighted the link between this signing and the UAE’s aims to create a global gaming hub within the region. The country encourages government programmes such as Dubai’s Programme for Gaming 2033 and, regionally, the National Gaming and Esports Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030. These efforts have often been criticized as sportswashing by the media and human rights organizations.
Nigma Galaxy most recently competed in Dota 2 tournament PGL Wallachia Season 3, where the team narrowly missed out on a playoff spot, being eliminated in the swiss-system group stage. The organization is set to compete at DreamLeague Season 27 in December. Stick with Jaxon.gg for more Dota 2 and esports news and guides.
