Next CS2 major headed to Budapest, here’s how to get tickets

According to leaks, the third CS2 major will be held in Budapest, Hungary, and fans are already wondering how and when to purchase tickets.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 is currently ongoing and has fans on the edge with excitement. Fans saw FaZe Clan go against Team Falcons in the RMR and Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev regrettably missed another major. Furthermore, CS2 player Finn “karrigan” Andersen shared some unfortunate news after the win but is expected to return in the next stage. The elimination stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be played between December 5 and December 8, 2024. After that, the CS2 major will head to the United States since Blast will host the event in Austin, Texas.

Now, the location of the second major has been leaked to be Budapest and fans wonder how to get tickets.

Budapest is leaked as the next CS2 major city

Leaks suggest that the next CS2 major will be held in Budapest, Hungary, but there has been no official confirmation from Valve.

According to Sheep Esports, an inside source has confirmed that the next CS2 will be held in Budapest. Previously many majors have been hosted in Europe. However, if true, this will be the first CS2 major to be hosted in Hungary. The current major cities’ lineups are surprising. With the ongoing major being held in China and then heading to the United States.

The host of the Budapest major is also a surprise because StarLadder is returning to Counter-Strike esports after several years. StarLadder previously organized the Berlin major in 2019 but then disappeared from the scene.

However, now, the StarLadder StarSeries is relaunching with season 20 in September 2025. Furthermore, the Budapest major is leaked to take place between December 1 and December 14, 2024.

How to purchase tickets for the Budapest CS2 major

If the leaked dates are correct then fans will be able to purchase tickets for the Budapest Major in September 2025, as CS2 major tickets usually go on sale three months before the start date.

The date when the tickets will go on sale and how much they will cost hasn’t been confirmed. However, based on previous events, the Budapest major tickets should go on sale roughly three months before the event.

This is the first time StarLadder will be hosting a CS2 major since 2019. Which is why it is unclear how much the Budapest major tickets will cost. However, according to the ticket site for the Shanghai Major, the cheapest bundle is $89 for the weekday and $119 for the weekend.

The dates, ticket prices, and the official site where the tickets can be purchased will likely be announced when Valve officialy discloses the location of the next major.
