Valorant agent 26 has been at the heart of Abyss lore. Since the map’s release, the giant hourglass cave had everyone wondering about the identity of the prisoner pacing back and forth behind the glass. Most recently, the glass was shattered, with metallic branches wrapped around the edges. Inside, a metal mask-like object was discovered instead of the captive.
Later, the agent was tracked to Korea, causing destruction in local shops. Now, more details about agent 26 have been revealed.
VYSE is confirmed to be the next Valorant agent, and they are most likely a Korean woman.
VYSE is typed in all capitals, which suggests that her name may have a full form or some deeper meaning behind it. That, or it could be just another spelling for the English word “vice,” which simply means immoral. The agent will be fully revealed on August 27. The latest agent teaser was set in a nighttime Soeul, where news anchors were alerting citizens to be on their guard. An unknown force with plant-like tendrils is rampant, causing chaos in the middle of the city. The tendrils are similar to what was spotted in the first agent teaser. That means our captive is currently taking shelter in Korea.
This likely suggests that she returned to her hometown after escaping from Valorant map Abyss. If that’s the case, then we’ll have two Korean agents in Valorants, the last one being Jett. While the lore surrounding VYSE’s introduction to the Valorant Protocol remains unknown, her potential identity as the long-lost agent 8 hints at a seismic shift in the story. If true, players should brace themselves for game-changing plot twists that will upend their understanding of the Valorant universe.
Besides that, we know for sure that VYSE is a sentinel. This is based on previous leaks and the fact that sentinel is the least crowded category in Valorant. It would make sense for the next agent to be a flank-watcher who deals damage.
