This new Falcons CS2 roster is set for a major run

m0NESY G2

Saudi Arabian esports organization Team Falcons has been building an aggressive CS2 roster by signing multiple players such as Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, and has now reportedly secured another star player in m0NESY from G2 in a multi-million dollar deal.

Team Falcons has evidently been trying to make a more formidable roster by recruiting players who would help them secure the the game’s biggest trophies. NiKo and Emil “Magisk” Reif left G2 with hopes for a more prosperous future with Team Falcons. The Heroic trio of Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov, and René “TeSeS” Madsen also joined the Saudi team, seemingly making them a force to be reckoned with.

Team Falcons attempted to sign Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov after signing NiKo, but G2 instead decided to make the star player an important part of its 2025 roster. According to reports, G2 has now agreed to let the player go and Team Falcons has secured m0NESY for their potentially game-changer CS2 roster. m0NESY will reportedly join Falcons ahead of its planned run at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

m0NESY reunites with NiKo on Team Falcons

The upcoming Austin Major will bring together NiKo and m0NESY, two highly talented former teammates who can display their skills and potentially help Falcons to reach new heights.

m0NESY was an important element in G2’s success throughout his time with the team. This is likely why the German team decided to revolve its roster around him and didn’t want him to leave despite at least one enticing offer. But reports suggest the star player didn’t want to renew his contract with G2, leaving the organization with no choice but to let him go. If the team delayed any longer, m0NESY would have been able to go for free in the future.

NiKo Falcons roster m0NESY

Team Falcons has been trying to find more success and its recent roster overhaul points towards the Saudi organization attempting to make an aggressive team of players who will help the side to win on a more consistent basis. Falcons signing both NiKo and m0NESY to their roster is impressive because they are some of the best players in the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene.

Falcons’ third former G2 player, Magisk, also has significant experience at the championship level and the three players could make the team unstoppable. m0NESY is set to join the side and take over degster’s place in the starting roster. He will join well before the Austin Major, giving him and his new teammates enough time to gel together so that they can perform to their fullest potential on the big stage.

The side will likely need that practice time, as Team Falcons has struggled to live up to its hype and much attention has been paid to the side’s struggles. With m0NESY now on board, the pressure to win is likely to build even further.

G2 could have a hard time with powerhouses like NiKo and now m0NESY leaving in such a short timeframe. The team’s decision to build its roster around m0NESY didn’t prove wise as it arguably made the entire team dependent on a single player. G2 will have to rebuild its roster now, and that won’t be a small task. m0NESY is a renowned AWPer and finding someone as skilled as him won’t be easy. This could even lead to G2 overhauling its entire CS2 roster in the foreseeable future.
