Much to everyone’s surprise, HoYoverse has chosen to revert the latest Neuvillette nerf in Genshin Impact following an uproar, and players are set to receive generous amounts of primogems as an apology.
Alongside the arrival of Navia and Nilou’s banner, Genshin Impact’s 4.8 update also brought several bug fixes, including one that sparked outcry among fans. The bug fix in question targeted Neuvillette’s “spin-to-win” mechanic. The strange glitch let players adjust their DPI to the highest level and rapidly pan the camera during his charged attack to hit as many enemies as possible. But after massive backlash and potential legal issues, HoYoverse quickly responded and announced a rollback on this fix, along with issuing compensation. Interestingly, this compensation stands out from previous ones by being higher. Instead of the usual 100 Primogems for an apology, it has been revealed that a total of 1600 Primogems will be given out. This amount equates to a full ten pull which players can use for the current banners or the upcoming Natlan characters.
Here’s how to obtain it and when it is expected to be received.
Genshin Impact will roll back the Neuvillette nerfs and give every player 1,600 primogems as compensation.
Although this fix doesn’t affect fans who don’t have Neuvillette, every traveler will receive a total of 1,600 Primogems as an apology, or most fans call them, “apologems.” Just as with other rewards and compensation, players can claim and redeem this amount by accessing their mailbox. To do so, players must follow these instructions.
Only travelers who have reached Adventurer Rank 5 and above are eligible to receive this mail. This compensation should be claimed within 30 days, as it will expire otherwise.
As of writing, there is no official word on when players can claim the 1,600 free primogems from the Neuvillette nerfs compensation.
Given the large amount of primogems to be given out, many players may be wondering when they will be able to get their hands on it. That said, players are advised to stay tuned for updates on when the rollback will arrive and when HoYoverse will hand out the compensation. It is expected to land in players’ mailboxes before the Genshin Impact 5.0 update.
