NaVi enters LEC as Rouge exits pro League, roster taking shape

Navi LEC

Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere, commonly referred to as NaVi, is officially joining the LEC after acquiring the franchise slot previously owned by European esports organization Rogue.

Rogue was one of the premier pro League of Legends teams at its peak, but its success has dwindled over the years. News broke earlier in 2025 that the team was considering exiting the league and that it might sell its LEC slot to NaVi. Nothing was concrete at the time but it’s no secret that NaVi has wanted to join Europe’s top League of Legends competition for some time, and this was as clear an opening as it was likely to get.

NaVi CEO Yevhen Zolotarov stated that the team was interested in acquiring an LEC slot when the league first began in 2018 but couldn’t afford one at that time. Rogue has also been trying to sell its LEC position for some time now. With this exchange, both organizations seem to have gotten what they wanted as NaVi acquires Rogue’s slot and officially joins the LEC.

Ukrainian organization NaVi has successfully acquired the slot of Rogue and will begin competing in the 2025 LEC Summer Split.

NaVi is one of the most prominent esports teams in the world today, with competitive rosters spread across multiple esports disciplines. The organization hasn’t been present in League of Legends since its previous roster disbanded in 2017. This makes for a significant move as the organization joins the LEC. The most recent fresh addition to the league was Karmine Corp, who joined LEC in 2023 and became a new addition to the league after acquiring Astralis’ slot at that time. NaVi has now done the same in 2025 with Rogue’s slot.

There isn’t much information available about NaVi’s upcoming roster, but some Rogue players have already agreed to stay after the management change. Emil “Larssen” Larsson is said to retain his mid-lane position from Rogue even after NaVi takes control of the team. Adam “Adam” Maanane, Rogue’s top laner, will also reportedly play for NaVi.

NaVi appears to be taking full benefit of acquiring Rogue’s roster alongside its LEC slot, but there are reports that the organization is also looking for fresh talent to round out the roster. It’s possible there are existing contracts that need to be honored that NaVi has inherited alongside Rogue’s slot.

LEC’s Summer Split will start on August 2, which is less than two months away. This leaves little time for the Ukrainian organization to build a complete pro LoL roster from scratch.
