Why Is Nanashi Mumei graduating from Hololive?

The company stated the news is difficult for everyone but that it supports the vtuber in her decision and wishes her the best moving forward.

Nanashi Mumei graduation

During a livestream, Nanashi Mumei explained to her fans that she has been facing difficulties in using her voice over the past two years. She tried her best to find a way to continue her streaming activities despite these challenges, but has been forced to graduate and concentrate on her health. The vtuber went on to say that this is why her streaming schedule has been volatile over the past year.

Nanashi Mumei apologized to her fans for not being more transparent about why she was away from streaming recently but said that she has to step away for her mental and physical well-being. The streamer emphasized that she loves performing on stage more than anything and that she’s heartbroken to be unable to continue to do so. The vtuber also expressed her appreciation for fans supporting her for the past three and half years while she was a part of the Hololive team.

It is apparent from the stream just how hard it was for Nanashi Mumei to decide to leave the agency, but she clearly needs to take care of her health first and foremost. She stated that she was grateful for everyone she was able to collaborate with while active as a streamer, and expressed her regret at not being able to do more for fans.

She did say that she will do as much as she can for the fans who have supported her between now and the time of her graduation in April.
