Fortnite Chapter 3 started off with a bang.
Seriously, this is one of the best Fortnite seasons we’ve ever had – certainly the best one in the last few years.
For as much content as we got, there’s still more on the horizon. Today, we’re looking at the Thermal AR finally returning along with the possible return of the LMG.
Epic Games
The Thermal AR was straight dogwater back in the day. It was similar to the Scoped AR, but traded fire rate for the ability to see through walls.
The idea was better than the execution and most players left the Thermal AR where they found it.
Well, the weapon got a rework and looks to be set to return to the game in Season 2 – along with a new Mythic version.
Based on these stats and this clip, it looks like we’re going to have a hard-hitting thermal version of the OG Scoped AR.
This will undoubtedly be another keyboard and mouse-focused weapon that can dome controller players as they try to close the distance.
The Mythic Thermal AR i leaked a month ago is still coming, for Season 2.. The normal Thermal ARs have been buffed to become fully automatic, the Mythic one too 👀🔥
Mythic Stats:
– 39 Body/Builds Damage & 78 Headshot
– Clip Size: 15, Reload Time 2s & Fire Rate: 1.8 (70 DPS) pic.twitter.com/Zo6GktwM9n— HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 2, 2022
We’ve been hearing about the Thermal AR’s return for a while, but the most recent patch brought another returning weapon to the mix: the LMG.
According to Hypex, Epic adjusted the LMG this week. They nerfed the fire rate and mag size but buffed the accuracy and reload time – essentially making a new weapon.
We have no idea when the new LMG will enter the game. It could be at the beginning of Season 2, deep into the season, or in Season 3.
The LMG might also return next season, it was both buffed & nerfed yesterday. It’s now more accurate, the reload time is 3 seconds instead of 5 but the magazine size has been reduced from 100 to 60! pic.twitter.com/HXGX56VXTT
