MPL Malaysia Season 17 ticket sales go live

MPL Malaysia Season 17 enters a new era

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 17 is set to kick off on April 4, and tickets for the anticipated tournament are now live.

Announced during the MLBB Esports Malaysia 2026: My Time, My Era press conference, the MPL Malaysia S17 will happen at Level 6, Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur. Eight teams will be competing for a share of the prize pool and two spots to the Mid-Season Cup (MSC) in Saudi Arabia.

Fans can head over to the Ticket2u website to buy tickets. Currently, tickets are available until week four of the regular season and are priced at MYR 15 (about $3.8) per match, with MYR 2 (about $0.51) as an additional charge for processing fees.

The entire regular season will happen at the Quill City Mall. MOONTON said in a release that the venue was selected due to its central location, which makes the MPL more accessible to fans and the community.

For fans unable to attend the event in person, there will be a live broadcast as well.

MOONTON has announced that it is partnering with Tonton as the official streaming partner, while Media Prima has been onboarded as the official content partner.

MPL Malaysia Season 17 heads into a new chapter

The MPL Malaysia Season 17 is a monumental moment for the esports league, as it transitions to a partnership model. As a part of this, eight esports organizations have been selected with guaranteed slots in the league.

This includes AC Esports, Bigetron MY by VIT, Invictus Gaming, RRQ Tora, Selangor Red Giants, Team Flash, Team Rey, and Team Vamos.

“As we stand at the brink of a new chapter, we are making an unprecedented commitment to build a professional and stable ecosystem where our players and teams can thrive on a global stage,” said Krystal Tan, head of business development for Malaysia esports at MOONTON. “Our vision is to establish esports as a national game, woven into the very fabric of Malaysian culture.”

The MPL Malaysia Season 17 will unfold over eight weeks from April 3 to May 24. This will be followed by the playoffs, which will likely be held at a different venue.

The top two teams from here will head to the MSC taking place at the Esports World Cup 2026. The EWC’s organizers recently said that the tournament was on schedule despite the Iran conflict.
