The finals of ESL Pro League Season 21 are set with MOUZ set for a rematch against Team Vitality, and there’s plenty of betting action to be had.
ESL Pro League Season 21 is wrapping up, but it’s been a treat for Counter-Strike fans. All the top teams in the world were in attendance alongside some surprising names. While there have been plenty of upsets and surprises along the way, two of the favorites to win the event have advanced to the finals.
But who will actually win the top prize? And what bets are worth making? Here’s a full breakdown of the ESL Pro League Season 21 finals.
MOUZ and Team Vitality will face off on March 16, 2025 in the finals of ESL Pro League Season 21. While all of ESL Pro League Season 21’s previous matches were best-of-three, this match is best-of-five. The winner will take home the $100,000 top prize and add a win to its name for the Intel Grand Slam Season 5 prize of $1 million.
MOUZ has been inconsistent over recent months, but the peaks have been high enough to make fans forget. The team placed top four in the Shanghai Major in December 2024 and second in IEM Rio in October 2024. The team added Spinx in January and while his tenure started with an inauspicious exit from IEM Katowice 2025, they’ve righted the ship since.
MOUZ won PGL Cluj-Napoca in February and punched a ticket to the ESL Pro League Season 21 finals by taking an upset win over Team Spirit. Here is the full MOUZ roster:
Over the last six months, MOUZ’s worst map is Mirage. That relative lack of success has continued into Spinx’s run with the team. Everywhere else, MOUZ is above .500 during that same stretch. Its best map by a comfortable margin is Nuke, though it’s also off to a 2-0 start on Train.
Team Vitality has been one of the top squads in Counter-Strike for years now. From its all-French era to its international heyday, the team has been built around in-game leader apEX and superstar rifler ZywOo. Here is Vitality’s roster in ESL Pro League Season 21:
Vitality is downright fearsome on Dust 2, Nuke, and Inferno. Over the last six months, the team has a winrate of at least 83% across these three maps. It’s also strong on Mirage, at 62% during that time. The one pitfall is Anubis, where it has just a 40% winrate.
MOUZ and Vitality have faced off five times over the last year, with Vitality winning three of those matches. These teams faced off during the group stage, with Vitality winning 2-0. MOUZ vs Vitality is actually a rerun of the ESL Pro League Season 19 finals, which MOUZ won.
Vitality is a hefty favorite over MOUZ in the ESL Pro League Season 21 finals. The bookies have the moneylines set at 1.31 against 3.42. This hints at Vitality being a decisive favorite to win, making it difficult to place a straight bet on the team.
Vitality should be able to defeat MOUZ in the ESL Pro League Season 21 finals. Whether the betting lines offer sufficient value for this is another matter. This could be the point where MOUZ breaks through to stake a claim for being Counter-Strike’s best team, given its win over Team Spirit. Vitality taking a fairly easy win over MOUZ just days ago says a lot, though.
