MOUZ and Team Liquid are both on the doorstep of an ESL Pro League Season 21 playoff berth, but who will get it?
Round three of the ESL Pro League Season 21 second stage is done and teams are starting to advance, and be eliminated, from the event. Event favorites Team Vitality and Team Spirit have both taken a spot in the playoffs with a 3-0 record. On the opposite end of the bracket, MIBR and TyLoo are heading home after going 0-3.
Team Liquid and MOUZ are looking to win out, and avoid an elimination match, in round four. Here’s how bettors should approach it.
The Counter-Strike teams of MOUZ and Team Liquid are set to face off in ESL Pro League Season 21’s second group stage. Both teams have a 2-1 record, and the winner of this match advances to the playoffs.
MOUZ won PGL Cluj-Napoca and is off to a good start in ESL Pro League Season 21. The team took two wins to start the event, defeating Furia and Team Falcons. It ate a 2-0 loss from Team Vitality in an advancement match, but has the chance to rebound here against Liquid. The team’s standard roster will compete in ESL Pro League Season 21:
MOUZ is generally strong across almost all maps, but is particularly strong on Nuke. The one big question mark regarding the team is Train. MOUZ has only played there once and while it won that game, there’s limited data regarding how the team will perform there.
Team Liquid is looking to hit its stride at ESL Pro League Season 21. Though it started inauspiciously with a 2-1 loss to Team Falcons in the opening round of this group stage, a 2-0 victory over Furia followed. More importantly, Liquid scored 2-0 upset victory over Eternal Fire. Could Liquid finally be realizing its potential?
Here is the Team Liquid roster:
Team Liquid is at its best on Anubis and at its worst on Dust 2. Everywhere else is a wash. Once again though, Train remains a bit of a mystery.
MOUZ and Team Liquid have faced off three times over the last 12 months, with MOUZ winning two of those matches. However, the most recent came at IEM Katowice 2025 where Liquid scored a 2-0 victory.
MOUZ is pinned as a 1.69 favorite against Team Liquid, which stands as a 2.15 underdog. While betting odds can swing quickly after a few good wins, this line is about what fans would’ve expected before Liquid’s win over Eternal Fire. But if Team Liquid wins another, it could start receiving favored billing.
MOUZ will likely get the win over Team Liquid, but this is a tough match to call. Team Liquid almost always has something to prove, but the squad may be gelling around NertZ, who joined in January. Liquid was stronger than many gave them credit for even before this and if this change actually does improve the team, Twistzz and NAF could once again preside over an elite-level Team Liquid roster.
